Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k

This past weekend I volunteered at the Fox Valley Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk with my sister queens. It was one of the first chilly mornings of the season, but I had an absolutely awesome time with my girls! It was great to see them again. Nationals is only one month away! It's been an exciting time sending in all the paperwork to the national office.

Love my sister queens!

Photoshoot with Amanda Warda

One of my dear friends, Amanda Warda, started her own photography business in high school. I love the energy and creativity in all her pictures, I just knew I had to have a Queen's shoot with her! It was a wonderful day and such a fun shoot. I love how the pictures turned out. Best wishes for college in Arizona, Amanda! Here are some previews that she sent me:

Got to show off the new shoes :)

Presentation at Rotary Club of Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates

In April of my junior year of high school, I was honored to be selected from Hoffman Estates High School to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference. I had a blast at the three day event, it was my first real camp experience. All the campers/participants stayed at Camp Edwards in Wisconsin.
My RYLA sponsor, Mr. Jim Fabbrini, invited me to a Rotary Club of Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates monthly meeting to give a speech about my time at Camp RYLA.

Right after I gave my presentation

I love my community!

Feed My Starving Children

One of my favorite organizations ever is Feed My Starving Children. This facility is very close to my heart, I have been volunteering there throughout my high school years. On August 16th I got a chance to volunteer there with my sister queens for several hours and I had so much fun! After two hours of packaging food, our group had packed a grand total of 15,984 meals to feed 44 children for an entire year.

Schaumburg Boomers Game

My first appearance as the new National American Miss Illinois Teen was to attend the August 15th Schaumburg Boomers baseball game. I was honored to be able to throw the ceremonial first pitch! I got to share this exciting day with my family and community. This particular game was a fundraiser for the District 54 Foundation. I am a proud graduate of Neil Armstrong Elementary School and Eisenhower Junior High School - both District 54 schools!

Throwing the first pitch

Nailed it :)
